London Olympic 2012 Torch

Three is a magic number for the newly unveiled Olympic torch in 2012.

Its design was inspired by three triangular behind the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Among them:

      * Three Olympic values of excellence, respect and friendship
      * United Kingdom hosted the Olympics three times
      * Vision for the Olympic Games in London in 2012 combine three areas of activity - education, sport and culture

The burner was designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby and designed and built by British company Premier Group and Tecosim.

It is 80 cm high, made of aluminum and weighs only 800 grams, which is one of the lightest in the history of the Olympic movement. Burner to 8000 gold is perforated small cut circles, representing 8000 different Torchbearers and personal success.

Round holes running along the torch, people will think it's good to see the heart of the building - and they are very practical and helps keep the burner cool.

70 days of the Olympic torch relay will have a majority in the UK before the games next year.

The relay starts at Lands End on 19th
maybe going 8000 miles before arriving at the Olympic Stadium on July 27 for firing the opening ceremony.
